Block-printed Textiles

Our new shipment of block-printed textiles from India has arrived! We now have a beautiful collection of table linens, quilts and cushion covers in stock now. 

Block-printed fabrics have been produced by highly specialized artisans for centuries. This traditional method of textile production begins with carving a design into a wooden block, dipping the block into a dye and then pressing the block directly onto the fabric. Designs can be applied in layers creating unique and intricate patterns. Since each block is applied independently by hand over the course of a large area of fabric; there will be slight variations and imperfections. But these qualities add to the 'one of a kind' rare beauty that can only be found in handmade traditional textiles. 

Washing Instructions: Wash in cold water with a gentle detergent; low temperature tumble-dry. Iron on a cotton setting. Do not use bleach or whitening agents.
